Reference Dam
Nomenklatura
Naseem x Mammona (Ofir)
Dam of Nabeg and Neposeda
Excerpts from articles with reference to Nomenklatura:
Parkinson, Mary Jane. "Dams of Distinction: Tersk-Bred Imports". Arabian Horse World November 1983. Jay Shuler Co., Inc., Palo Alto, California. p. 264.
"Nomenklatura is the mare with the earliest foaling date in this study. She was born in 1943, the only Naseem daughter in this study.
At Tersk, Nomenklatura produced 15 foals from 1958 to 1966, when she was sold. She is considered one of Mammona's most important daughters, and Nomenklatura's daughter Neposeda (a Dam of Distinction in this study) is, in turn, considered her most important daughter. Nomenklatura is also the dam of *Naina in this study and the granddam of two Dams of Distinction, *Nariadnaia and Naturshitsa.
Nomenklatura's last foal was Nabeg (by Arax), who in his short lifetime became one of the most valuable sires at Tersk. He is the sire of *Nariadni (x *Nariadnaia), who is syndicated at Karho Farms in Scottsdale; and of *Pesniar (x Pesnia), 1982 U.S. and Canadian National Top Ten Stallion, owned by OPL Associates; and of *Ptersk (x *Pristan), who is standing at Ford Arabians at Blanco, Texas.
The pedigree of Nomenklatura combines two of the greats - Naseem and Mammona - of Russian breeding, a mating used only twice. Nomenklatura's full brother Namek was foaled in 1945, destiny unknown."
