Reference Dam
*Monogramma
Knippel x Monopolia (Priboj)
Dam of Murmansk, Malutka, and Monogramm (Sire of Kilogramm SPA)

Excerpts from articles with reference to Monogramma:

Brown Edwards, Gladys. "Russian Re-Run". Arabian Horse World November 1983. Jay Shuler Co., Inc., Palo Alto, California. p. 80.

"Also of the already-mentioned Mammona family, was *Monogramma, whose dam is Monopolia by Priboj. I was utterly charmed by this mare then, and I still am, nearly a decade later. A chestnut, foaled in 1963, this Knippel daughter is a beauty. She is the dam of Malutka and *Meduza as already reported, and is a winner of the Certificate of First Degree. She also holds the record for 1,500 meters at two years of age in 1:40.0. Her grey son Mamluk is a champion in Holland, and a chestnut son by *Muscat, Murmansk, is one of the most handsome stallions at Tersk."

Parkinson, Mary Jane. "Dams of Distinction: Tersk-Bred Imports". Arabian Horse World November 1983. Jay Shuler Co., Inc., Palo Alto, California. p. 256.

"When Bob Stratmore imported *Monogramma in July 1981, he acquired one of Tersk's best producers. She was 18 years old and had produced 13 foals - a foal every year since 1968. And she arrived in the United States in foal to Antey (Aswan x Nemezida by Arax), who was standing at Kossack Stud in Holland.

*Monogramma was the complete Russian Arabian mare in that she also excelled at the track and in the show ring. In 1965, when she was two, *Monogramma set a record for 1,500 meters in 1.40.0 at Pyatigorsk; the record still stands. In 1975, at the All-Union Exhibition, *Monogramma and her daughter *Meduza won 'Certificates of the First Degree,' and Malutka (*Monogramma's daughter by *Salon) was Champion.

Mamluk, *Monogramma's son by Aswan, was sold to Holland in 1973 as a three-year-old. There he sired a number of foals, some out of Tersk-bred mares. Sons and daughters have been imported by Hugo de Vroomen, Karho Farms, and Bob Stratmore. Mamluk was leased to Hans and Cecilia Bourghardt of Aspenas Stud at Lerum, Sweden, and they later purchased him. Mamluk won a gold medal at the 1981 Swedish National Show, and is the sire of Casino (x Cantata), 1983 Swedish National Champion Junior Male. Malutka (by *Salon), Magma (by Mak), and Makovka (by Aswan) are all broodmares at Tersk. A daughter, Moneta (by Lak), was sold to Holland in 1972, and a son, Musson (by *Salon), went to Italy in 1974.

*Monogramma's son Murmansk (by *Muscat), foaled in 1977, is at stud at Tersk and is the sire of *Paradisee (x *Panorama), imported in utero in 1981 by Bob Stratmore. *Meduza, *Monogramma's 1972 daughter by *Salon, is at Stratmore's Make-Believe Farm; she produced *Peacemakerr, a grey colt by *Pesniar, impored in utero.

At Make-Believe, *Monogramma produced a filly by Antey in 1982 and was recently sold to Patterson Arabians, Sisters, Oregon, in foal to *Salon."
